Mission statement
Hutan’s mission is to conserve threatened habitats and wildlife species in Sabah and to promote the sustainable management of natural ecosystems by empowering local communities and developing mutually beneficial stakeholder partnerships.
Hutan works in close partnership with the Sabah Wildlife Department and a wide range of partners - including Kinabatangan communities, government agencies and oil palm plantations to find realistic solutions for the long-term conservation of the Kinabatangan’s unique biodiversity.
