The Silent Forest Group is a working group of the EAZA Songbird Taxon Advisory Group collecting and sharing information on the Asian Songbird Crisis caused by unsustainable and illegal trade.
Silent Forest Vision:
A world where people live in appreciation and respect of Songbirds with awareness not to engage in unsustainable practices.

In November, we honoured the second cohort of our groundbreaking Women in Conservation Leadership Programme at an inspiring graduation event. The graduation was a celebration of the participants’ achievements and a showcase of the transformative journey they have taken as conservation leaders.
Earlier this year, a significant breakthrough was made in one of the projects funded by ASAP’s Species Conservation Fund. After a long search, the dedicated team rediscovered the very first specimen of an Mesilau Stream Toad, thought to have been lost to science.
Launched in partnership between ASAP and Tropical Biology Association, a newly launched Project Design and Fundraising training will drive greater funds for the conservation of threatened Southeast Asian species.
